SOCIAL JUSTICE

As both a dancer and advocate, I’ve come to understand that wellness is not only physical — it’s emotional, cultural, and deeply personal. My work bridges science, art, and empathy to help young dancers develop healthier relationships with their bodies. Through research, creative workshops, and advocacy, I explore how nutrition, education, and self-care can empower teen girls to dance — and live — with strength and confidence.

01. NutriDance: Fueling the Dancer’s Body
NutriDance is an initiative I founded to connect nutrition, creativity, and movement. By leading baking classes, expert talks, and food-art workshops, I helped over 30 dancers understand how nutrition impacts performance, recovery, and injury prevention.
We experimented with turmeric-ginger muffins and collagen-boost cookies, illustrating how small lifestyle choices can support artistic strength. I also guided participants through food illustration projects, merging visual art with wellness education. NutriDance became a joyful space where dancers learned to nourish both body and imagination.

04. ISB Roots & Shoots Animal Branch
As a core member of ISB’s Roots & Shoots Animal Branch, I advocate for animal welfare through empathy and action. Our team of 20+ students leads volunteer work, fundraisers, and adoption campaigns to improve the lives of stray animals in our community. I helped organize annual donation drives and partnered with Rain Animal Shelter, where I cared for over 20 cats and dogs while promoting adoption through storytelling and outreach. Through these experiences, I’ve learned that advocacy begins with small, consistent acts of compassion — each one creating a ripple of change.
